June 27, 2007: Paris Hilton sketch

I am entirely uninterested in Ms. Hilton and her various doings, but this self-portrait sketch noticed by axlrosen at TMZ yesterday, is a bit fascinating. TMZ includes a short note at the link which is also interesting.

Ms Hilton's emotional underdevelopment comes across here, and we can all feel good about ourselves for being better. Perhaps that is her redeeming quality, and the danger inherent in all seeking of fame: you may become a laughingstock, or a bad example for the world.

Flint's better than she is.

The note on the link. The note! She might as well have asked him if he would "go with her" and provided yes and no boxes to check.

How old is she?

I don't think she really drew that. There's actually a sense of perspective and composition going on in it.

I have some strange means of diagnosing certain mental disorders. Sometimes it's as simple as an individual's name ... females with names like Heather, Crystal, Paris, or a bizarre spelling of a normal name (Alyce, Jenaphyr, etc.) tend to be diagnosable with borderline personality disorder. So are women with huge, overfull keychains ... not with keys, too many keys is more schizophrenic or bipolar, but fobs and danglies, including stuffed animals. Oh, and if anyone every shows up for admission to the hospital with their stuffed animal ... borderline. And pillows and blankey, double dose. Schizophrenic purses will have a ton of different stuff, but very little of it actually useful ... 10 year old electric bills, empty compacts, and a brush that can only be described as frightening ... and cigarette butts, papers, bits of loose tobacco that you only discover after upending the contents on your desk. Eeeauw.

But I digress ... Drawing little hearts over lower case "i"s is a hallmark of borderline personality disorder.

What about the wide-eyed (and cross-eyed) innocent look, appearing on both faces? Is that some kind of nose fixation?
