Never Too Soon

There it was, staring me in the face on my morning commute:

The first Russ Feingold For President bumper sticker I had ever seen.

He's got a very ardent group of supporters trying to draft him for a run in 2008. There are still some people that believe we could never have a Jewish president. Others say that being a Jew is no longer an issue for those running for president. I don't recall it being a big issue with Lieberman. To be honest, I don't know how "Jewish" Feingold is, but I do know I'd prefer him to our "born again" president. One thing I'm POSITIVE we'll never see is an atheist president. Funny thing is, I know a lot of Jewish atheists. Go figure.
