Wedding Gift for the Couple who has Everything

I couldn't believe it when this showed up on my amazon.com purchase recommendations.

I did, however, have a vision of people in an NYC loft apt, clustered around the coffee table, dressed in LL Bean finery using one of these, and being extraordinarily pretentious about it.

But would it get more or less use than the fondue pot?

Naaah, what you want is a pizza maker. Either that or a Rice Krispy treat maker.

Add a Salad Shooter to that and you're all set.

Heh.... my mom dropped hints for a salad shooter one year, must've been when they were kinda new. She ended up with THREE of them under the tree, from my dad, my sister, and me. (She exchanged mine and my dad's, allegedly because we kept our receipts and my sister didn't. However my sister had also sprung for the rechargable version! )

that smores maker is the most stupid kitchen gadget i've ever seen in my life. you could make smores in the microwave, just put chocolate and marshmallow in between graham crackers and heat, or bake in the oven. so don't get them that, they wouldn't use it even if they wanted smores. the george foremen grill is pretty popular, but not if they are having a big formal wedding and they want "classy" gifts. MONEY is a great gift.

The Amazon product review average gives 4/5 stars. Is that suspicious?

My favorite review: you 'could roast smores faster with a match'.

KitchenAid stand mixer with dough hook and wire wisk.

Will do it all forever. If you get the pricey model, you can even add on a juicer or meat grinder. (YUM! homemade sausage)

You'll never guess what my sister thought was "really unusual" and gave to me for Christmas this year ...

I'll let you know how the indoor s'mores come out. I'm considering hauling the thing to a friend's house tomorrow night to try it there, so if anything goes wrong, it's not my house that burns down ...
