No, thank YOU and we sincerely hope there's no hard feelings about the revolution. We know how you Brits hold grudges.

America thanks you for your good will - its nice to know that if or when the entire rest of the planet thinks we suck, Britain will always be at our side - even if we are the emarassing little brother sometimes :-). The feeling is mutual.

Plans change and reform on the fly ...

I'm heading for New Jersey to celebrate a friend's Fourth of July birthday.

Happy Independence Day, all!

It's great to celebrate Independance Day at the American Air Force bases in Britain!!

The largest fireworks shows are generally at RAF Lakenheath, which about 30 minutes from Cambridge. All the surrounding base personnel (6 bases within 90 minutes drive) go to the Heath for hot dogs, hamburgers (Imported American beef), and loads of patriotic stuff like that there.

The fireworks go off about 11pm (since it stays light pretty late) and it's shake the kids awake time, they watch the show and then back to sleep as parents take an hour to get out and then an hour to drive home.

A little slice of America in the Home Country.

Happy Day, ya'll.

I'll be slaving over hot psychotics all week, and unless some emergency presents itself ... I'll be going to the movies on saturday, probably to see I, Robot, and to a picnic on Sunday.

I'm gonna go camp near Glenwood Springs on Saturday, stopping along the way at any place I goddamned well feel like stopping. It's been a tough couple weeks and I need some time in my Fortress of Solitude.

Well I left Philly on Thursday to visit Pigeon Forge, TN, with my parents, and then on to their house in NC (where I am now, refusing to read all 6 pages of back Cellar posts). Back to Philly on Saturday.
