identify this movie please!

(sorry if there's already a thread for this. If I'm doubling - please redirect me!)

Since I discovered BookSleuth I've had several long-lost books identified; books I really liked but where I had forgotten the title, or could only remember vague details. I haven't been able to find an equivalent site that identifies movies. I have a particular fondness for European movies, especially French, Italian, Spanish and Scandinavian, although I speak none of those languages. This makes it difficult to google the details for them. Most movie websites that are in English seem to focus on US movies.

(I did mean for this thread to be about identifying movies in general though.)

Okay, so to start off: I have been trying to find the name of a movie I saw years ago. I think it was Italian. A woman has lost her husband and child in... car accident? She's grieving and feeling a tad suicidal. One night she drives through along a road that goes through a tunnel (in her home town, I think) and when she comes out the other side, she's in a parallel reality, where her husband and child are still alive. When she drives the other way, she's back in her widowed reality. She goes back and forth between the two lives. That's all I can remember.

It may not even be such a great movie! I don't remember much more about it, but it just kills me that I can't identify it.

Anyone know it?

Or have any othe movies that they need help identifying?

It's driving me crazy, but I can't find it even with the power of Google.

I like foreign film as well, but do not have much knowledge. Sorry.
