I'm short too. Tulip, but I have never really thought about clothes making me look shorter. This dress looks like it would complement a smaller frame and I am all about accenting my petite-ness. The 80's were horrible for me with all the long jackets, bulky sweaters and big shoulder pads.

Tulip, the dress looks great, and you'd look great in it too. On the other hand, you'd look great in nothing.

Thanks everyone for your input, especially the ones about being short. I feel better about being tiny now. Greatly appreciate it.

LOL...it was my cousin. But I wrote it wrong, she didn't say I was too short, just that the long length of the dress may make me appear short. She's not one for tact though. She once told me I would look nicer if I'd lose 5 lbs. The worse person is actually my mom. To make a long story short, recently she told me I look fat as this girl who's a size 12.

This dress complements a smaller frame? Then I'm definitely getting it! I think the 80's was bad for everyone.

Believe me, I look much better in clothes!

I mean, you know, you are what you are! We're conditioned by society to think that beauty equals tall, thin, lanky, willowy but that's really ridiculous. I've seen too many beautiful people who were none of that.

The only thing to consider with this dress is if it fits your personality. Does it flatter your body shape, your figure, what you want people to think about you.

Nobody is TOO short. Too short for what?

You can be too short to reach a shelf, too short to be allowed on a roller coaster, too short for a pair of jeans to fit right--but too short to be beautiful? Never.

Thanks, Juni, who is 5'1.5" I don't mind being short too much until I have to put a stool on top of a chair so I can reach something.

I didn't mean to write "too short." I think I was in a rush when I wrote that. But thank you for your comment.

I see people with much lumpier figures in much tighter clothes not giving a stuff about how their lumps look and I know i shouldn't either, but I do......

so too short for her comfort level? We all know she's gorgeous.
Well, my height doesn't bother me the way it did when I was younger. I've been teased everything from midget, smurf, to being an arm rest. Those fashion magazines always advised petite people to wear short skirt to lengthen short legs. I was afraid a long skirt may make me look only a foot high. I was gonna say a stump but I don't intend to be round when I wear a nice dress.

Tulip I think the dress looks good, flowing elongate and I think the dress will look good on you. However, you make the dress look good not the other way around.

Looks good to me. And as for height, I don't think that being a drawback of any kind.

I already requested to have it done. Once I receive it, I'll show it to y'all.
