NOTPRON2 starting

I noticed the NOTPRON2 thread. Is there a way to tie ads or pop-ups to a selected thread? It might pay a little and certainly wouldn't deter this crew...they might not even notice.
I'm glad to see a bunch of "kids" persuing something that will keep them away from the more unsavory corners of the web(more room for me).
Also, somewhere down the road they might have warm and fuzzy feelings for the Cellar.
That's all well and good but they're still costing YOU money so ultimately it's your call. Is there some way to break even on this?

Unless they start posting images or screen captures or videos or such, it's not much bandwidth at all. After the move, even bandwidth won't be a concern. The bigger concern is that they are squatting on our community. It's not that much work for me to skip over their thread in the new posts run, but how do others feel?

For what it's worth, I say let 'em be. They do no harm if the bandwidth isn't an issue.

I also vote to let em be. They're not really harming anyone or anything as long as the bandwidth isn't an issue. Also, there's the off chance that one or more might give up and gravitate to the rest of the forums. Okay, maybe not but I'll give them a chance.

As long as they stick to a thread or two. Skipping one thread in the new posts list is easy, but half a dozen would be annoying--not to mention I'm already skipping the Word Association and Lists threads too.

A couple of us regulars were even working on the puzzle when the thread first started, so I understand the appeal. Now, I just skip over the thread when it pops up in "new posts." Doesn't bother me at all that they are here.

I figure they're like the Hippies camped down by the river, trying to figure out how to score Dead tickets. As long as they aren't doing any harm, we can just laugh and point at 'em. Who knows, might grow up to be a car salesman and his cool wife.

I came here because of TINP.

However, I'm too lazy to solve puzzles.

Somehow, I also ended up reading other threads.

Here I am today.

Welcome!

Actually I've caught a couple others from the cult sneaking over to other threads.

TINP is the cellar's new IOTD. Although, doesn't IOTD still have a lot more lurkers?
