Tapatalk popup/banner ad on iPad

I can't get rid of the damned thing, and it covers some content on each page. Touching the 'x' just makes the 'View' button dim for a moment but doesn't remove the ad. If I touch 'View', it takes me to the App Store where, again, I can't close its popup window. I can only share it or install it.

This thing is evil. Please ..... hellllp .......

Is that just a count of how many times Ortho has accidentally clicked the ad trying to close it?

Anyone else viewing the Cellar on an iPad?

Tapatalk just notified me that my grandfathered VIP status is expiring.

I bought the app around a decade ago. Paid real money for it, and then after a couple years they switched to an advertisement supported free model where you could pay a subscription fee monthly to get rid of ads. They were serving me ads when I had paid for an ad-free service. I provided proof of purchase and they restored the VIP status and grandfathered me. Now they say that the grandfathered status is expiring and I will have to pay for VIP access or watch ads. Fuckers. I must have clicked on some new service agreement in the past that said they could pull this bullshit now.

It’s wrong to sell something to somebody and then rent it to them later.

Are there any competitors to tapatalk?

Our Tivo is grand-fathered but they'll pull the same thing when the box fails.

Tapatalk keeps telling me to subscribe and says I'll stop seeing ads. But I don't see ads, and have never paid for it.
