What's Good About NOLA

I love NawLins. I've been all over the East Coast and the Southeast--NOLA is the absolute best in terms of: FRIENDLY (and, being from the MidWest, I know Friendly) INTERESTING (anyone with their own ghost or pissed-off Southern Belle, OR Rebel, gets my vote) YUMMY FOOD (I don't need to expound here--the food is so delicious you want to tear your clothes off and the weather pretty much ensures that you will)--plus--don't make me name names BUT: Mother's, Dickey Brennans, Peristyle, PaToots, mmmmmmm...I want a Debris! AND!~ There is always the chance you'll be eaten by a Gator!

So, I'm reading their dinner menu, and see:

Hickory Roasted Duck with Whiskey Caramel Glaze, Buttermilk Cornbread Pudding, Haricot Vert Fire Roasted Corn Salad, Natural Jus and Candied Pecans

oh. my.

not to mention:

Grilled Rib Eye with German Style Fingerling Potato Salad, Apple Smoked Bacon, Coarse Grain Mustard Cream and Roasted Leeks

there isn't a drool emoticon that conveys the emotions i'm feeling right now.

and you can get free beads! my friend who passed went to college there, and never quit going back to visit regualrly til the day he died, and always had great stories to tell when he got home. I'm ready for a visit, even though I'm pretty much past the bead catching days.

He declined to elaborate; but I believe we all know that he was referring to the existence of chocolate covered bacon.
