Newsgroups- Flying below the radar.

Are there many newsgroupies here?
(as your primary source for media downloads?)

I skim rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5 for posts by J. Michael Straczynski. I don't use newsgroups for media that much, though.

Used to download comics off them but many times there would be a missing post. Then my ISP stopped offering newsgroups

Yes, yes, and oh my...yes. I especially love UsenetBinaries.com for my image collections (no...not those images). I'm never disappointed at what I can find there. I download at night, cull through them in the morning and run "Clone Spy" in the afternoon to sort out any duplicates. Then I sort, categorize and folderize. I do this on a daily regimen. Gotta keep them straight!

My Doctor says this is good for me on some deep psychological level I will never understand.

One of the major attractions of cellar.org Back In The Day was the fact that it carried Usenet newgroup feeds and you could access it though dialup. Kinda took a while to download software or media at 2400 baud though.
