Sometimes when you eliminate an immediate danger, you unknowingly eliminate a much larger potential danger. Rattlesnakes, being Vipers, give birth to live young complete with fangs & venom, and ready to bite. Yeah yeah, control rodents, part of the ecosystem, blah blah blah.
