Have you wondered if inside the family truckster there's the heart of a lion, do you need to sneak an illegal car cross town, or want
to teach a spouse/offspring how to drive, the time is now. Lots of room.

Quote:
As millions of people around the world lock themselves indoors in order to prevent transmission of the dreaded coronavirus, the world outside looks eerily abandoned. The absence of humans and smoke belching vehicles is having a profound effect on the environment, not seen, perhaps, since the Industrial Age began.

Quote:
The atmosphere has become cleaner with significant drop in nitrogen dioxide pollution. The normally polluted waters of the canals of Venice have become so clear that one can see the bottom. In Sassari, the second-largest town of Sardinia, wild boars are roaming the streets, and in Rome’s many fountains ducks are taking advantage of the lack of tourists.

Aside from these occasional visitors, public spaces across the world have become terribly devoid of life.
That's bullshit, there's plenty of life, crawling with life, just devoid of humans.

"The normally polluted waters of the canals of Venice have become so clear that one can see the bottom."

We had a pic here a while back of a Venice canal at an extra low tide. Not a good idea to see the bottom of one!

Oh no!!! Without all of humanity on the streets, the poor pigeons ( and eventually, underneath, the rats) will starve.

Exactly, plenty of life on the streets, a whole food chain. Wait awhile and the bears and wolves will move in... or Tigers and Elephants... and Raptors.

I went out earlier to get cat litter ,and go pick up a tool from the shop. And the streets were empty. I hit every light red and sat there with no traffic at all. The mall is a ghost town. When i got to the shop the place was packed every door was open and people were working on their stuff. I now know where all the people are, Ace Hardware was packed. There were boats on the water and the launching ramp was in use. so everyone is not staying home and hiding.

Wildlife in the streets?

It has already started...

And in France, there was a song about it:
Les loups sont entrés dans Paris

Oh great, now that means that deer ticks (lyme disease), fleas, and hunters going to shoot said deer will be invading the streets.

Fast translation:

The men had lost the taste
To live, and didn't care about anything
Their mothers, their brothers, their chicks...
For them it was just a movie
The sky was going wild again,
Concrete was eating away at the landscape... back then...
Wolves, whoo! Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!
The wolves were far from Paris
In Croatia, Germania
The wolves were far from Paris
I liked your laugh, lovely Elvire.
The wolves were far from Paris.
But that's 50 leagues
In a night with tail leu
As soon as I smell a feast...
Of deaths on a battlefield
As soon as fear haunts the streets
The wolves come at night... so...
Wolves, whoo! Whoo! Whoo! Whoo!
The wolves looked towards Paris
From Croatia, Germania
The wolves looked towards Paris
Stop laughing, lovely Elvire.
The wolves are looking towards Paris.
And that's where he made a hard winter
One hundred congestions in fact various
Shutters closed, teeth chattering...
Even in the beautiful boroughs
And no one dared in the evening
Confronting the snow on the boulevards... then...
Wolves. Whoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo!
Wolves have entered Paris
One by Issy, the other by Ivry.
Two wolves entered Paris
Stop laughing, lovely Elvire.
Two wolves have entered Paris.
The first one had only one eye left.
He was an old male from Krivoï...
He installed his ten females
In the meagre square of Grenelle
And feeds her two hundred cubs
With the kids from Passy... so...
A hundred wolves, woof! Woof! Woof!
One hundred wolves have entered Paris
Either by Issy or by Ivry...
One hundred wolves have entered Paris
Stop laughing, lovely Elvire.
A hundred wolves have entered Paris.
The second had only three legs
It was a gray Carpathian wolf...
That we called Carêm'-Prenant...
He made his children fat
And offered them six ministries
And all the dogcatchers-- so...
The wolves. Whoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo!
The wolves have invaded Paris.
Either by Issy or by Ivry...
Wolves have invaded Paris
Stop laughing, lovely Elvire.
Wolves have invaded Paris.
Attracted by the smell of blood
There came thousands and hundreds of them
Carousing, jubilation and bombing
In the bloody country of France
Until the men have found
Love and brotherhood... so...
The wolves. Whoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo!
The wolves are out of Paris.
Either by Issy or by Ivry...
The wolves are out of Paris
I like your laugh, lovely Elvire.
The wolves are out of Paris
I like your laugh, lovely Elvire.
The wolves are out of Paris...

Now replace the wolves by the virus, and it looks very appropriate to the current situation...

Cool, I assume Parisians would understand references like Issy, Ivry, and square of Grenelle.
Thanks.
