... and still just as dangerous.
A young Russian woman, Inrina Karavaeva (?), was injured in a fall in her Prelim's, but her coach, Vitaly Dubko, pushed her to go ahead in the next stage today. She did, and was in major pain by the time she finished her routine. Canada won big. |

Team GB (Brits), won a boatload of medals yesterday. In Cycling they're cleaning up big time) - mens and womens: team sprints, team pursuit, individual time trial, womens road race, all gold (iirc). More cycling events still being contested in the Velodrome, and they're favorites to take medals in those, as well. British cycling used to be the 98 lb. weakling, but they have really developed a great program for cycling, now.
That trampoline sport is deceptively hazardous. One small over/under rotation on a jump, and the next jump will land completely off the trampoline. |

Tramp has been an olympic sport for about 20 years now. Maybe not quite that long, but I think for at least the last 4 olympics.
