Take that Beantown!
Rodriguez, one of baseball's most dangerous hitters, also is one of the sport's slickest-fielding shortstops. But he has agreed to play at third base for the Yankees, allowing team captain Derek Jeter to retain his spot at shortstop.
Sure it's bad for baseball and losing Soriano really sucks but sticking it to the Red Sox...bwhaaaaabwhaaaabwhaa!

Griff, the Yankees had great talent last year...where's that world championship trophy at?
Oh, that's right...in Florida. What about 2002? Oh, that's right...Anaheim. And 2001? Arizona. And 1997? Florida. Enjoy the moment for now...your heart will be cold and dead again come November. |

They beat Boston. That is what matters.

Keep telling yourself that, Griff...I'm sure George lulls himself to sleep every night with that one.

This just gives me another reason to dislike the Yankees. I really think this trade was a bad idea. Yeah it's good for the Rangers, and probably great for the Yankees, but it's terrible for baseball. It just brings baseball's biggest problem back into the spotlite by sticking the highest paid player on the highest paid team. It's truely amazing that the union would allow the Yankees to take on another bloated contract but wouldn't allow A-Rod to take a paycut to go the the Red Socks. It just drives the point home that baseball has no idea what it's own fans want.

I think you have to be with the Red Socks as you're team.

I'm a Yankee fan. I lived in MA for 14 years. I hate the Red Sox. Any time we can annoy them, I'm happy.
