NCAAF College Football Bowls Spreads

I've been asked again and again to do The College Football bowl games and March Madness here on the cellar, due to the success of the prediction on the college games in the betting tips thread.
There are some bowl games that I'd love to give, but I've hesitated on some, due to questionable motives(Alabama, Oklahoma), and some due to surprising uneven match-ups (Arkansas, LSU).
Here are 7 bowl games you can bet on.
Straight up, its 35 bets.
If you wanna use Wisconsin as a base, its 15 bets.
If you wanna combine Wisconsin with another game you see strongly, its down to 5 bets.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Insight Bowl

Missouri(-1) - Iowa
Pretty good match up here.
Having watched both teams very carefully this year, Id have to give the edge to Missouri who match up better on the defensive side.

Bet on Missouri

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Pinstripe Bowl

Kansas State (-2.5) - Syracuse

I've liked what I've seen from Syracuse at times the past few years, but they look quite amateur in comparison to Kansas State.
I expect a double digit win here.

Bet on Kansas State

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Music City Bowl

North Carolina(-2.5) - Tennessee

I almost hesitate here, as the spread looks like some kind of trick.
When i saw the game, i figured (-7.5) at least for Tennessee.
There is no comparing the two teams.
Unless there's some kind of secret i don't know about, you should go all out on Tennessee here.

Bet on Tennessee

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sun Bowl

Notre Dame - Miami (-3)

I enjoy watching the media every year at the start of the season how they try to sell off this Irish team as certain BCS champions.
lol, every year.... its a joke really.
Miami is a really good team this year, and should easily win this one.

Bet on Miami

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Chick-fil-A Bowl

Florida State - South Carolina(-3)

I love what they've down in Florida State this season....excellent team.... I would have given them against most other teams, however, they match up against one of the best schools this season.
South Carolina is one serious team, and I'm afraid that Florida State is a little bit outmatched here.

Bet on South Carolina

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Rose Bowl

Wisconsin - TCU(-3.0)

If you're gonna use a base for these bets THIS IS THE GAME!
This is such a miss-match, its not funny.
I'm not going to go into detail about it, as I've had arguments about this under par TCU school all season.
lol @ TCU being the favorite.

Bet on Wisconsin

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

BCS Championship

Oregon - Auburn(-3)

lol @ Oregon playing in the BCS championship.
The rules are changing in college football, and in the future, small schools like Oregon will actually have to play a good school and win to get here.
Cam Newton is the shit!
If he wins the Heisman, he'll be the first worthy winner in a while.
If you haven't seen him yet, and you think its all hype, just watch this game.
Of course....

Bet on Auburn

Hey there.
I know that we're both having an amazing year, and we've got the best time of the year coming up as far as profit is concerned.
So, given the economical upgrade, perhaps this could be our most profitable season of all time!
Give 10% of that to March Madness, and we could be sitting on some heavy duty long term bets for the baseball season!
You KNOW there's money there!

Regarding These bowl games, I'm sure its pretty clear why we should fear superior teams like Alabama and Oklahoma, as their motive could be lacking, but they're too good to bet against should they try a little.

Regarding the Arkansas - Ohio state game, do you see what i see?
I mean, we know Arkansas, if anything, has surpassed Ohio state this season, however, certain match-ups in the Ohio state attack vs Arkansas defense, shows Ohio State scoring touchdowns.
So its not as simple as "The better team wins"

In the LSU - Texas A&M game, its the same thing.
LSU, by far superior as a defense, however, that main strength, might be their weakness due to specific matchups against this stable A&M attack.
So again, its not as simple as "The best team wins"

I'll add my quick thoughts here.

We had talked about the Auburn/Oregon game so you know how I feel, I agree with you all the way here.

I also can't wait to see Wisconsin Beat up on TCU. I was so happy when I saw this spread, I would have layed Wisconsin at 6.5 or better all day.

Miami Vs. Notre Dame is a really strong game as well. On the one hand you have the overhyped Irish, vs. a Miami team that I feel is on the rise big time.

Funny you mentioned the Missouri game, I bet it nice and early. The line has since come of the board, as the whole Iowa Program is about to get blown up, with the multiple arrests.

Definetely like the Tennessee play vs. North Carolina. I though Tennessee should have been the favourite. North Carolina at 2.5 should definetely be trying to lure people on to them.

Florida State game gave me a little uneasiness as they have definetely been coming on strong as of late. However I do feel South Carolina matches up really well against them, and should win this game by 10+.

Syracuse/Kansas State, I don't have a good read on this game. I may stay away, but I think I'm gonna trust the College Bowl Guru on this one.

I was looking at the Arkansas - Ohio State game, and the Texas A&M - LSU game.

Private message me your thoughts, if you don't want to make a public play.

Cheers

At first glance, at the Arkansas - Ohio State game, you automatically go with the superior team Arkansas.
There is no doubt that they are the better team, and should win this one easily.
It helps that those watching from a distance may still be living in the past thinking Ohio State is the better team.
So everything adds up to bet on Arkansas with your eyes closed.
If i was betting $100-$500, i wouldn't really give it much thought.
But that's not the case.
My fear in placing money on Arkansas is when Ohio State has the ball, and they're gaining 20-35 yards per successful pass.
Weather predictions for this game appear to be reasonable, and for this reason, i'm not gonna touch it.
If wind and rain come into play, i will consider betting on the superior team.

The LSU - Texas A&M game is even a bigger miss-match.
I assume LSU will be able to score maybe 13-17 points.
My problem with betting on LSU, is i'm not so sure they'll be able to stop A&M from moving the ball.
If you watch LSU's big games this year....they knew what to expect from the teams they were playing, and they played amazing defense.
This Texas A&M attack is not very predictable, LSU will not know what to expect.
If i end up deciding to place money on this game, it will be on the inferior team.

Tonight's Southern Mississippi - Louisville(-3) game is the first bowl that interests me.
If you've read any of my bowl entries in the betting tips thread over the past couple years, you'll see that i've given Southern Mississippi a few times, and they've proven to be good picks.
However, this is about as weak a Southern Mississippi team as we've seen over the past few years.
Their main weapon(Defense) has become their weakest point.
Southern Mississippi had a much easier program than Louisville, and yet they looked really weak throughout.
Louisville is nothing special, but they're clearly the better team in this bowl.

Utah - Boise State(-17.5) game on right now.
Can you believe we ALMOST got caught watching this BS team in the Championship game?
How bad is this voting system?
Can't wait till the system changes.
These 2 teams do NOT belong in the top 25.

By a hair! Auburn even bet on themselves winning by only a few points.
That's a decent enough accolade for Oregon!

The final minutes of that game were brutal

I went into that game wanting Auburn to win, as I come from a long line
Oregon State fans that desperately loathe the Ducks.

But after listening to ESPN's god-awful commentary for little more than a quarter and observing their MASSIVE boner for Cam Newton and the SEC, it was impossible not to root for my home state.

I like port wine cheese spreads, on Sociable crackers. If I'm having company I might put it into a bowl, but right out of the package is good too.

The spread and the talk on the TCUvsWisconsin game made me very happy. Well, seeing as I'm a TCU student who was at the Rose Bowl!
