The east side of the Canadian Rockies are a great road trip.

... and there are trails and camping at all sorts of time/difficulty levels.

My uncle, talking about hunting Moose in Alaska, told me it would take him as many as 9 or 10 trips to pack the meat (and antlers) out to the nearest road. That's packing 100 to 150 lbs, over usually pretty rough terrain, so he'd take location into consideration before deciding whether to take the shot or pass.

I'm sure that's the guides responsibility. My BiL used to be a wrangler for an outfitter. They'd pack the meat out by mule and horse.
