I heard the guy who took these photos interviewed on radio. It appears that the "meal" snake turned around inside the other snake, emerged from his mouth, bit on to his jaw and coiled himself out.

The two then simply went on their ways.

Well the *eater* snake is a red bellied black and they are immuned to the venom of other snakes, the other appears to be an eastern brown or common brown snake...I hate those fuckers!
