You're welcome! It was overcast in Seattle, too. But only for the beginning and the end of the eclipse. It was still cool looking, but not clearly the moon, and there were no stars to be seen when the clouds rolled in.

While it was clear, it was so clear and so dark that I could see the Milky Way from our front porch. It was pretty awesome. It watched a couple satellites traverse the sky and I even got some nice shots of the stars.

Shooting the night sky is difficult. I have had a very few shots turn out good enough to share. These here are among my best. I have some pics of stars that were pretty good too.

OK. I'll post them, but I'm not so happy with them.

The first is exposed for the moon in shadow. The second is exposed for the moon in sunlight. It was really cold out, and I wasn't patient enough to make sure I got a good shot. Oh well.

It snowed from 2pm till about 7pm, then was clear as a bell by 8pm. Good viewing, but I was at work so no pictures.

I saw this one from a plane somewhere over Georgia. Pretty awesome at that height. No bright lights to obstruct my view.

Windows weren't steamed I assure you...we froze our asses off..(through many layers of winter clothes!) to watch it...in the snow...brr. We only watched the middle part...as it became fully eclipsed and then started to move off again...cause we were sissies and drove back to his nice warm house. lol

Sadly I was thinking of YOU guys while I was out...wishing I had better camera equipment for it. Sigh.
