Or...we could "meet" at a particular site/table.

Yeah but it wouldn't be as much fun with "strangers" coming in.... unless we could round up 10 to make a full table. Party Poker has a private table option but it seems to be disabled & it's unclear if that's temporary or permanent. There's always Yahoo! Games! The only drawback for playing there in general is the interface isn't as slick as the dedicated poker rooms, and the competition is mostly lame. But if it's just us chickens we can supply our own lame competition

Sounds like a plan. Is the Yahoo Games set up like a chat? I'm curious.

most of the time, yes. I've played backgammon, cribbage, and a few others in yahoo games rooms, have also intentionally met up with friends to play there. It's fun, and more importantly, FREE. You do have to register a yahoo screen name to play.

OK .. short notice... if anybody wants to play a friendly game of Texas Hold'em I will snag a private table at Yahoo! Games! at about 11:45PM or so tonight, play to start at about Midnight, Eastern time. Message me on Yahoo so I can invite you. If you've never played but want to try, come on... we'll show you the ropes.
