1 - see pic. Clean, cut, weigh & vac seal in appropriately sized packages.
2 - no, probably not. They are woody & oaken. Much better than those grown in shit.

3 - Yes, yes & yes. I do not though. I prefer to share them with friends & family. If you are EVER down my way I'd be happy to give you a bag or two.
4 - Not usually. When harvested at the right time the worst you'll find is a few blades of grass, an acorn or a rogue twig.
e - YES!!! Excellent health benefits to the Maitake - Here is one article about them.

I was looking for photos of the process, but I can't seem to locate them atm.. Here is the finished product. This is a different mushroom - This is what we call a Chicken mushroom - all cleaned, packaged and labeled.

If I'ma gonna be eaten by zombies, I'd rather go out thin and sexually satisfied than full of mushrooms.

(that attitude would last about two days before I started wondering just how many calories were in semen and where the next fungi was)

Last Saturday I went to the Renaissance Festival. Took a load of pix to share but got lazy because I'd have to resize them all. So, this is all I've resized. Why am I so muddy, you ask? I fell off the horse but climbed back on. Yes, I was sore a few days but okay now.
