Jan 8, 2011: Fat Chance

OMG, it's only January and the ice is breaking up... the poor Polar Bears.
Wait a minute, that's the Houston Ship Channel, that can't be ice.

Quote:
Some 15,000 gallons of animal fat poured into the channel through a storm drain on Tuesday
after an onshore storage tank owned by agricultural company Jacob Sterns and Sons leaked
250,000 gallons of the greasy substance, Brahms said.

Where are the seagulls, they should be all over that?

They should market it as an arctic jigsaw puzzle.

I guess this means they'll need a fatbreaker to clear the channel?

Just think. Somewhere there is a tank for holding 250,000 gallons of pure fat.

What is that for, anyway? USA's secret strategic fat reserve?
