What I see as important here is that it is 66% of battered women situations involved a firearm. (again, no mention of whether it was legally owned or not)
It does not say that 66% of firearm owners batter women. You may not like firearms and that is ok. I don't like broccoli and would rather die than eat it, but I promise I won't try to make it harder for you to have it if you like it.
