HOLY CRAP
I'm so freakin' nervous.
For one of my classes for my major they are having me conduct a practitioner interview where we contact and interview a professional in the field where we would like to see ourselves in the future.
OF COURSE I procrastinated until NOW and it's due Wednesday at 8am and I have this afternoon and tomorrow to call the pros I emailed to ask for interviews. Luckily most of the executive staff at the UNITED CENTER!!!! (where the Chicago Bulls play) agreed to give me an interview and I have no time so I have to call them now!
Just some dumb college student talking to the Snr. Vice Prez of Operations of the United Center, a nationally known sports and entertainment palace?

My job is writing for travel websites, so I have to call and interview people for articles all the time. I was nervous at first, but it turns out that people love to talk about themselves and their work -- it gives them a break from actually working, too. Now it's probably my favorite part of my job.

I've found that if you lightheartedly make it clear that this is how you see yourself in the situation, they will appreciate your humbleness and be more open with you. I've gotten away with a ton of things by just adding a (genuine, not sarcastic) "But I'm just some kid, what do I know, right?" to the end.

Yeah just conducted two interviews, one with the Biz Head of the UC and the other with the Operations Head.

They went pretty well. Learned a lotta stuff. Really intimidated me, told me to get more involved with bizniz. But I have no interest in bizniz. ::tears::
We'll see what happens, I guess. Give it 10 years or so. :P

The most immature grown men ever. One of them even has a family, how did that happen? I hope there aren't more of you all out there. srsly. cocks. you all don't even have a motive for being so child like, you just are naturally. It's actually, disgusting. But I guess the internet is where people get to let loose and become whoever they dreamt of being while hiding behind the comfort of a monitor thousands of miles away from the people they choose to pick on. OK, here's the deal... When you're young, being mature is cool. When yer ...well.. a little bit older than that, being immature is cool. Of course some people never mature enough to be immature. and then it's hard to tell.

but basically I'd say LJ was at least telling the truth about how he makes you feel/act....

...oh and having a family makes immature fun too. And almost necessary. compulsory in some cases. bags I get to beat up on you next.....

To define maturity as a set of behavioral constraints constitutes a step backwards in development. If advancement was measured by failure to take action, or by taking only a narrow and predetermined course of action, then veteran athletes would be ineffective and predictable.
