update: the slimeball who she was cheating with called another one of our friends in a panic, told him everything, afraid the husband is going to kill him. good. I'm glad he's afraid.

He declined to elaborate; but I believe we all know that he was referring to the existence of chocolate covered bacon.

I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six.

It would be nice to have him understand your side of the story, but after that I personally would think that this couple is off-limits anyway, unless you get the best friend to forgive you--or they get divorced, and you're able to maintain a friendship with the husband without her around.
Husband was my friend before her, and will be long after.
He and I talked - she told him I knew everything, he said he doesn't care what I knew or for how long anymore - as long as he knows I'm on his side now. Phew. My portion of the crisis resolved.
Now we're just trying to figure out why he hasn't left the beeotch.....
Thank you all for listening. I feel so much better now.

maybe he's used to the situation (other than the cheating thing) i remember when my ex-wife left, what i mistook for love and loneliness was only being used to the living situation and being somewhat comfortable in it.....
