It wasn't just about their being novelty songs ... but rather novelty songs that you expect to say one thing, and then another. Actually Wet Dream isn't technically a song of that type, it's really just a series of puns all strung together, and also there are at least 30 years between it and the other two but it's the way it came up in series in my head.
