Hi.

I consider myself to be a friend to JBK. I understand that he has a mental illness. I always understood that. I did stay away from the posts that went over the line. The community deemed that he had gone too far. I don't know...this community has funny ways sometimes when it decides what it will and will not put up with. There is a certain amount of 'following' and I don't even think it's intentional...but there's human nature for you. I admit there are people I don't put up with either...but I try to ignore them rather than keep egging them on. I say 'try' sometimes I can't help but poke.

But I always had an affinity for your brother. There is a lot of goodness in him that shone through.

One respected member has not been back since JBK was banned.

I say all this as a way to say: I hope JBK is doing well. I miss him and his creativity. I'm glad he has family to support him. I don't know if you are telling him about the posting here and the responses, but maybe you could just give him a hug for me.

I don't know what mugshot thing you are talking about. Maybe I missed something?

Anyway, thank you for letting us know how he is. I wonder about him.

lamplighter. This was his last post:

eta: I may be wrong. I'm still looking over his posts but there was something that made me think that thread was his last straw. It could just be coincidence.

p.s. I don't blame glatt or anyone else for any of it. I'm no saint. I see why people were upset.

That is all.

Thank you very much for the update, and I am relieved to know he's always had protection in real life. Does he live with family members, or is it just a matter of being nearby and checking in on him? Many of us here understood his struggles, and tried hard to keep him grounded, but it doesn't always work as I'm sure you know. He does have friends here though, and I'm not a moderator but I believe he would be welcome to come back if he's stabilized from his previous break. Tell him Clodfobble says hi.

I was going back through some posts and found this thread. JBK wrote me this poem and it really cheered me up that Christmas. My mom passed away 4 days later, from cancer, so it wasn't anything like Christmas to me last year. Somehow he was in tune with that and wrote me a fun poem and cheered me up. Yep, I'd say he touched some lives here.

Hi JBK-Bro

I, too, am glad to hear JBK has people in his life who are actively caring about him / for him. You sound like a really good brother, a good person, lucky JBK. I'd welcome JBK's return too, but that's not my call. Tell him hello and ... ?? good luck and good night? wth? I hope he's doing well. He has a place here if he can return.

It's good to know JB has people like you looking out for him.

You sound like a good bro, JB's Bro.

Yeah. Frustrating as things were towards the end of JB's time here, I think most of of us still hope he's ok and wish him well.

Funny, I was thinking about him a couple of weeks ago actually. I'd clicked on an old thread and seen one of his posts.

Say hi from us. Banned or not: once a dwellar, always a dwellar :p

Saaaaaay, that reminds me. Starring_Emma was sent to Coventry as a minor; but, should have reached the age of majority by now. She provided some spirited political conversation and deserves a second chance as a mature adult. Her account should be reinstated immediately.

Starring_Emma was sent to Coventry as an attention whore. Age is irrelevant.

People, especially teenagers, mature with age.

You gave pensive pam a second chance.

Everybody gets a second chance, it's called starting a new account. Meanwhile I am not responsible for moderation. Mods are elected.
