I don't want any tattoos at all. Not my thing, I don't understand the desire to put anything permanent on my body. Four or five years is about the longest I've been infatuated with any design, artwork, drawing, whatever. I was merely indulging you. I like your scar as it is.

But then, I'm kind of weird.

I don't mind the scar so much I am not so vain. I don't have any tattoos at present. What bothers me is that it bothers other people. There is always the look of horror when people see it and then the questions and then "oh you poor dear" I feel sorry for them. I could deal better with someone who is repulsed by a tattoo.

I watched the Elephant last nite. Had he lived in this age I would have not been bothered by his appearance but some people can't look away and they are very disturbed by things that are not perfect. If someone is repulsed by a tattoo at least its more likely they don't want one. If it is done well it is art. It will be awhile [if ever] when I get one. Fun to talk about no? [/justification]

The perfect set up for a dismissive laugh followed with, "That's nothing, you should see the other gal..."

Just cause I'm not into tattoos doesn't mean I wouldn't jump at the chance to decorate you.

I've got to ask if you're really sure you want a tattoo or are just trying to scratch some itch in your life that you can't quite locate....?

Monster the scar gets me the wrong kind of attention; I wasn't trying to be duplicitous... I like to wear dresses.

Why is [was?] your hair blue?

'cause I attention ho It's purple though It was all blue once because I made a bet.

I was just playing devil's advocate. Want is an entirely different ball game. Mostly you want/need to know you're sure, I was just trying to help

Thank you Monster I don't have one yet may never get one, have not spoken to a tattoo artist yet, and having devil's advocate is just what I wanted.

Sarge the bloody teeth gnashing is divine!

Most tats aren't about the design, they're event markers, sometimes bad things that you're thankful are behind you, or maybe a triumph that surprised you and floored everyone else. Like that song you've heard a zillion times but still perk up when it comes on because of the memories, it's a way-back machine.

That said, I've seen a lot of tats recently that obviously weren't thought through. (huge understatement)
