Welcome, MalzB. I wish it were under happier circumstances. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of dog was he or she. (Other than a great friend)

He was a pure Chocolate Lab. His name was O.D. for Our Dog. He was amazing.

Wow, twelve years - I guess you grew up with O.D. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Thanks. Yea, he did grow up with me. We got him when I was in kindergarten and I just graduated a month ago. Lots of good memories with him. But he was just so sick today that there was no saving him so he basically told us it was time for him to go. That's comforting at least....kinda :-/

I know it's hard, but you're right: he knew it was his time.

And those good memories will last forever... the most important part of a good friend never really dies.

Welcome, MalzB.
My condolences.

And Flint is right.

Ducks, thanks for the pictures. They are so cute! More, more.

MalzB, so sorry about your lost. Even when it is time to go, it's so very hard. Keep those great memories in your heart and you will find they come in handy when you need a smile.

Thank you so much everyone! And although it is under some not so good circumstances, thank you for the warm welcome. And I would upload some pictures for you but it's not letting me.
