When Jesus returns, I'm sure he's gonna love all the crosses.

Kinda like remembering JFK with a rifle pin.

Big Sarge.

IIRC he was deploying to Iraq. Have any of you army types heard anything from him?

Cklassic, if you have his details I'd really appreciate you passing on mine.
He gave me his details and I sincerely wanted to stay in touch. I deleted them by accident.

I'm happy to PM you, so it will be down to him rather than you feeling you are disclosing private information. He's a good chap and I feel like a complete heel that he's serving overseas and I haven't bothered to send a letter, a package or an email.

Thanks.

Ouch! Just got smacked upside the head with a big bunch of Not Around!
Dana's always looked out for me, selfishly didn't notice she wasn't here.

Yes it's the long vac, but I'll follow up non-internet sources to check our babba is okay.

ETA - not got her number!
Horrible of me, had it on the last two phones.
Even checked Directory Enquiries - I remember her full name at least! - but she's unlisted.
Called a same-name-same-dial code person (well, you never know) but when they were clueless I claimed wrong number.

I'm sure I'm worrying more than I need to.
But the Cellar recently proves what we all really know - we are finite beings.
And I had her bloody number at one point. Damn.

*smiles* I'm here

Just got back from a research trip to Kew Gardens (where the National Archives are located). Been looking at 18th century courts martial records.
I'll post more about it over the weekend. Am dead tired right now.

Can barely focus on the screen ... this may have something to do with the double brandy and coke I have just downed.

@ Sundae: I'll pm you my number when I log back :P

Nice to know I was missed

Meh. You weren't missed.

Well.... only today, when I went into panic mode.
But if you spread my intense horror over a reasonable amount of days - like two months, say - then mebbe you were. A bit.

Don't you dare go to Kew Gardens without telling me again!
