What type of paint was it? Water or oil based?

Did you try wiping it off or using water?

I have no idea.
It's called Moisture Resistant Acrylic Eggshell Emulsion.

I did try to clean it at first - of course. I'm not a monster.
And I tried with a weak detergent solution (washing up liquid).
Nothing doing.

Boy is snipped now. Better than being sick.

Absolutely.

Oil based. That wasn't coming off without your using something far worse than the paint itself.

Ahem....
Acrylic= water based. Just sayin. Soap and water would have done it. Or just water for that matter.

Water wasn't doing it.
Washing up liquid and water wasn't doing it.
Maybe I should have persevered.

But in truth I have not hurt him in clipping off some of his fur.
It's sartorially drastic, but not dangerous.

Which isn't to say I'm not interested in solutions [sic] if it happens again.

His fur will grow back. Yikes. My brother gets his golden retriever shaved every summer and it's all back by fall.

Not like they're all embarrassed about it.

I think one of my kittehs got paint on him and he didn't even know it was there. It dried and eventually wore away.

That kitteh was on crack, or xanax, or sumpin'! Slick goes after even the tiniest thing in his fur. Gets positively mental.

The Mighty Hunter, returning with his prey.

I'm on the porch saying, "Good Kitty, Levi, you are an awesome hunter. Now, you take that little corpse home to daddy and then you can come back for your treats."

He did. He's a good boy.

Grav that pic is gorgeous!

Sorry to ride roughshod over it with my mad-cat-paint-shave-story.

Infi - the patch was large.
I worried.
I'd snatch him bald-headed rather than have another desperate run to the vets. Because I love him so much.

Ahem and because it cost so much money last time.
