Moderator nomination thread

This is part one of the moderators election. (Part two is the actual vote.)

The term of office for this election is through 1/1/2014, and the number of moderators shall remain unchanged at two.

Nominate people to be voted on in the moderators election. People nominated here will appear in the moderators vote, unless they specifically say they do not accept the nomination.

Joke nominations are discouraged, only because I can't tell whether you are joking or not.

The moderator election is not a popularity contest, and everybody hopes that losers, if there are any, do not feel discouraged about the Cellar. Moderator is a harder job than it appears, if only because people think of you differently if you are a moderator.

Nominations will close at 11:59 pm Eastern time on Jan. 9. If this is longer than appears necessary, it's only to make sure everyone gets a chance to see the thread and participate.

Nominations are open.

seconded

They both seem to be able to do it without drama, no small feat.

I'm happy to do it again. It's pretty easy now with the new anti-spammer setup Tony put in place. Virtually nothing to do.

I thank all our past moderators for their efforts (and forbearance).

I think Wolf and Glatt have done very well, and they have my vote(s).

I would like to raise the issue of the term and election season. I think it was sexobon that first presented the idea of moving the election to April first. I like that idea.

I'm back and badder than ever, and all that stuff. I am working towards making a conscious effort to be here more often, but NOT as a new year's resolution. I never keep those damnable things. I had a lot going on gearing up for the turnover of the Mayan Calendar, but that seems to have worked out okay so far.

not 1st of April -we have other clowns to deal with then. My selections are already nominated, thanks for the sterling work so far, chaps!

My condition means I don't see the left side of things (like words) unless I concentrete, and my developing compensaron skills mean I fill in the blanks with feasible options without even realizing. Not entirely different from the Freudian misread that lead to clone threads.

My first thought: A little harsh! -I really don't want our moderators to be eliminated!
