I still have the original Photoshop .psd files of the monkeys and the typewriters... ummm... somewhere around here.

*rustle rustle rustle*

You can have 'em if you want, rather than be messin' around with copies of copies of copies of copies...

I'm with Zippyt, Elspode, Pi and case.
Mainly because it seems like the beginning of a groundswell of opinion.

I see that #13 is pulling away from the pack (22% as of this writing). It's nice and all, but, I ask you, what good are the monkeys without the typewriters? Are we trying to say we're all a bunch of lower primates, without tools?

at the time you posted that there were 13 votes for #9...as 9 is the highest numer, i assume and just want to clarify for future record that you meant #9.

that's why we're voting..... 13 people don't need the typewriter. the monkeys must be recognizable enough.

As far as what we're trying to say? I can only speak for myself....but, I'm not trying to say anything. I just want it to look cool. The composition and overall "shape" of that logo is one of the better ones. It almost looks professional..... there are more logos with typrwriters than without, but based on current ranking, as #'s 8&9 are ahead, i'm thinking most peole expect that the typewriters will look like square blobs on a shirt.

I think the problem with #9 is that if it is reduced to shirt-pocket size, the tagline will be unreadable gunk. Also consider that there are at least two *shades* in #9, which will be reduced to only one in the finished product.

actually, i was unable to convert the black in the monkeys to that same color blue, so i just tinted the monkeys to get that idea accross.

As far as the coffee shop line, as long as the line is on the back, it could simply be removed:

Maybe they all just haven't thought it through. Maybe those who really do think that there should be typewriters are a silent majority. In a proper benevolent dictatorship, a majority vote would not necessarily hold sway over final decision making.

So, the question really is: Does UT want typewriters in order to fully represent the original spirit of the monkeys' presence in the first place?

When you think about it, it still represents the wearer end of the user - Cellar relationship.
