Roy Scheider Has Died

Quote:
Roy Scheider, the actor best known for his role as a police chief in the blockbuster movie "Jaws," has died. He was 75.

Scheider died Sunday at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences hospital in Little Rock, hospital spokesman David Robinson said. The hospital did not release his cause of death.

However, hospital spokeswoman Leslie Taylor said Scheider had been treated for multiple myeloma at the hospital's Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy for the past two years.

I best remember him as the captain of the SeaQuest.

He was amazing in "All That Jazz", the loosely disguised Bob Fosse biography.

RIP, Roy. You helped me know that I loved being scared crapless in a movie.

He was good as the evil corporate guy in The Rainmaker, too. He has a lot of credits on imdb.

OT: Speaking of Airwolf

I work in aviation maintenance. An aquaintance was on a road trip to fix an airplane when he and his partner where sitting in the departure lounge awaiting empty seats so they could get home. An old lady sitting next to them struck up a conversation, and eventually said (I shit you not)," Those planes are all so noisy. Why don't they use that 'whisper mode'?". The parnter, without missing a beat replied, "Ma'am, it just uses too much fuel."

I think the cause of death was going to a hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
