October 28, 2008: Navel Fluff

Navel fluff... you know, bellybutton lint.
But not just any old fluff/lint, no, you're looking at the world's biggest collection of one person's navel fluff (lint), as certified by Guinness World Records.

After accomplishing this awe inspiring feat, Graham Barker has created a webite to tell the history of his collection. He gives you the inside scoop on how you too, can get into this fast paced sport.

Anyone posting a recipe will be frowned upon.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Did he have a different coloured fleecy jumper or something for each period? I see that he didn't quite wear out the pink one till some time into the new millenium.

Damn. I honestly thought it was Naval Fluff.

He also found that a well developed "snail-trail" - hair connecting the pubic hair to the navel - also encourages lint in the belly.
Oh, goody - the visual image did get worse after I read the link!

First off, ewwww. And second if you are going to create a website around your nasty navel fluff don't use cleaned out pickle jars...bring some class to the table and buy something nice to put your filth in.

It would seem the contents of the oldest jar have settled a bit since this was last featured on IOTD.

did anyone notice that navel fluff guy provided a shot of his lint in 3-D on his webpage?

"This is a pile of my 2005-7 fluff displayed as a stereo pair, and can be enjoyed in 3D if viewed using the cross-eye method."

the last thing i needed was to feel like his fluff was leaping out at me. yikes & ick.
