An Acquaintance/friend/fellow nerd sat in the weirdo group at the back of physics class in high school....who I sort of see around on facebook and occasionally interact with via mutual friends.... plays trumpet and just played the most fun gig. Also, his last name really IS Cool. (well Coull, but it works...)

Brits may remember the band The Damned from the 80s? they played a sell-out gig at the Royal Albert Hall last night. Last Monday, this guy got a call to do the gig because the trumpeter they had engaged was crap. Or "a bit poo" as he put it. He was fantastic, and they name-checked him at the end. (They had 3 trumpet solos in the set)
