American Jihad

I was in Beijing airport last week (during Chinese National Holidays) en route to Inner Mongolia and came across this friendly character.

If you pressed a button he would break out into a frenzied song and dance. 'Witch Doctor' - you know the song that goes 'Ooh ee ooh ah ah, Ting tang walla walla bing bang.' That one.

Perhaps the creepiest doll I have ever seen.

Dude.... ... please tell me that you bought that thing and it's now sitting in your backpack as a gift to the most random and remote citizen of Inner Mongolia that you can find.....

Present it as "a gift from the people of America".

What exactly do the Chinese think of Americans, anyway? Is the American view of the Chinese being repressed true, or are the Chinese extremely patriotic?

Are you sure it's American? I see elements of US and of Middle East in this doll, which would indicate that to some places in the world, the other half of the planet is full of a bunch of loonies... loonies with cash.

The twonie is a gread looking coin ... but the Canadian Mint marketing department should have been sacked over the loonie and two-nie branding blunders.

It's really helpful if they think we are all like that.

Helpful as in, "When bush is done with Iraq, maybe he can go after China!"-helpful? Or helpful as in "Hey, they have 'weapons of mass destruction', how about them?"-helpful? Oh, don't mind me, I'm just one of those unpatriotic anti-Bush americans. *cough* Hypocritical pile of shit for a president *cough*

1 US Dollar = 1.58690 Canadian Dollar
1 Canadian Dollar (CAD) = 0.63016 US Dollar (USD)
If our dollar keeps goin' south, we'll soon be able to call our loonie a Canadian dollar and the twonie our American dollar!

If you guys ever wanna feel rich for a weekend, just visit Toronto and spend some US Dollars.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaachoooooooooooo!

It's helpful for the people of any nation to objectify and generalize the members of other nations. It helps build their national identity and fosters patriotism.
