The Sports of a Health Crisis

I just had to document this

I put $20 on a few Eagles games last year for fun, so my local casino website emails me from time to time to ask whether I want to bet more on things.

Last week they emailed me to say they had actually found some sports to bet on, and did I want to relieve my wagering addiction?

For the gambling degenerates, they had actually found the only leagues in operation: in Belarus, Turkey, and Australia. I am imagining some dedicated punter shouting out loud for Shakhtyor Soligorsk.

Thanks for those, monster!

By coincidence, I said to Dad at lunchtime that no matter how bleak things are at present, at least we don't run the risk of turning on the TV and seeing or hearing David Coleman at full throttle.

One shudders at the very thought of it.
