Lookout: You got something against sports bar banter??
no, not at all. it just tends to work better face to face than in the written form.

has anybody else thought to themselves - "damn, these people have managed to make an entrance even less graceful than Radar's"?

It's more *emotional* age perception than chronogical. You clowns come on alike a pandemic-level bad case of high-school senioritis.

I've been here for decades, and even through many a classic flamefest never felt the need to use the ignore list.

Until now.

So, until Tony finally decides you've hit the Cellar "excessively annoying" bannage threshold:

*plonk*

(You can look it up.)

On the one hand, I agree with Bruce because I have been observing this
forum for awhile and have hesitated to join because I have seen the abuse
dished out by long standing members that basically don’t want new members to join.
(Yes, it's obvious) On the other hand, I agree with some of the Cellar heavies that
he AG refugees have mucked up the works a bit. However, as I have been observing for
several months now, the AG virus was irritating even for me. My initial reaction was,
"NOOOO, you're messing it up!" But I think the AG refugees have made an attempt not
only to adjust, but to assert their own personalities as well. Nobody wants a forum
full of sycophants.

This is my two cents as an outsider. (Note: I didn't say lurker--I said observer.)

(MMMMM...fresh meat...)

Thanks, Steve, but, as I have observed this forum for awhile, I think you have a few things to learn about the people who take part in this forum. I've read 80% of the forums and also read maybe 30% of the archives (depending on what interests me). Looking before you leap might be advised at times. That said, I don't find the AG group to be counter to the general Cellar idea--you just need to spend some time getting to know these people before you jump in head first. I certainly know more about them than they do about me. Not a bad position to be in.

Well, HardDrive, I don't see any need to look before I leap, or research the people here before I type. What's the worst that can happen? People will type insulting messages about me on a message board?

If you like to read everything here before you post, that's fine. But, I can't imagine one single problem with my style of jumping right into this or any message board.
