Last Friday I bought a used hydraulic forging press. It should be here on Friday. They will load it into my truck at the freight terminal. I'm excited and terrified that I have to rent a forklift to get it out of the truck and into my garage....

Does that make it a fob watch?

Nothing.
Yesterday I bought a HUGE baking potato (big enough for Mum, Dad and me), a red onion and a tin of chopped tomatoes. That was for baked sardines with layered potato and onions.

Today I am marinating salmon with ingredients already purchased (and used often).
Mum bought the salmon, but it was a freezer pack, so bought weeks ago.
It's a bit of a cheat, but I feel good about not spending anything anyway.

They were really yummy!

Mum is happy to buy the protein if I supply the sides, and more importantly cook them
She's come round to the idea that although I cook differently, she actually enjoys what I make, or at least employs constructive criticism, which I can take without rancour.. (usually)

Happiness all round.

Salmon with ginger, spring onion and soy sauce tonight.
Oops, perhaps this should be in the recipe thread!
