TV premiere week is upon us!

Ahh, the time of the year I live for... new episodes of my old favorites and new shows to get addicted too and pray that they don't get cancelled.

I haven't seen anything new that looks good to me this year... I'm more excited about the return of my old stand-bys - Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, CSI, CSI: Miami, etc. I do like that show House on Fox... might add that to the rotation.

Then there is Dog, the Bounty Hunter - The AWESOMEST show... I'll need to squeeze that in to my Wednesday somehow... probably catching the repeat of the 9:00 episode at midnight or whatever... can't abandon my L&O.

So... is anyone else excited about the new shows or old ones?

I don't watch as much TV as I used to, and the only network channel I really watch for TV is NBC. All my favorite shows are on there, and the only new shows I've seen that look interesting happen to be on there as well. I start grad school on December 1, so my TV time will probably be further limited around then.

Dog is a great show...I usually catch it as well as Airline and Inked in repeats.

I can't remember the last time I turned the channel to one of the networks. But they are replaying the beginning of the second season (which I missed) of Battlestar Galactica on the SciFi channel soon. The digital recorder has it set to the highest priority.

Once upon a time, when I worked a regular job and could watch TV at night, I was very serious about the start of the new TV season. The arrival of the Fall Preview issue of TV guide was one of the more exciting moments in my house, as I tried to plan around all the new shows that I wanted to watch, and which ones I would tape ...

The shine's off it now.

The living room altar of entertainment doesn't occupy the space in my heart it once did. Yeah, I'm looking forward to new L&O and CSI, but I haven't even heard about any of the new stuff coming on ...

Desperate Housewives? I saw one episode and just don't get why that's entertaining.

There is usually a battle in our house on Sunday nights over who gets to watch their show. I love Desparate Housewives, but others in the home like Family Guy (I hate Family Guy)... so who knows if I will get to enjoy that one very much this year.

I used to have a TV in my bedroom, but then the bedroom became the 2nd living room and I would just sit in there all the time and would stay up all night watching crappy TV. I did have a cable jack put in my bedroom... and if worse comes to worse, that TV will be sitting on my dresser next Sunday night.

Tomorrow night is the first new episode of Nip and Tuck, one of the few non-HBO shows I will be watching. My Name is Earl looks interesting.

Still, I'm watching Rome and looking forward to Deadwood starting up. Haven't figured out which group of characters are tougher, the Romans or the pre-South Dakotans. Entourage just finished, and I'm waiting for Carnivale to start up again.

I'm pretty sure Carnivale isn't starting up again.
