It's Sum Sum Summer time
and the cellar already seems to be slowing down. What do we need to get the activity level up a little bit in here?
-An election? -an invasion? -a new troll to roll in? -maybe some forged documents? i was flipping back through some old threads and found (then lost) one where DHAM, UT, JAG, and NIC were talking about the cellar getting too large and losing it's "community" feel. there were 300 members at the time, and about 20 regular posters, if i read correctly. we now have 2100+ members and still about 20 regular posters. those posters have changed over time as different discussion trends draw people in and bore others. so the question is - what can we do to add afew more active posters?

Your first two suggestions above are pretty much the same thing under the current administration. Okay, how about we:
Give away free MP3's? Offer coupon discounts on Cellar merchandise? Threaten to send LJ to their house with a kayak oar if they don't join? I'm full of ideas.

we don't necessarily need more active posters, but if having more active posters will help keep things rolling through a slow season, then yippeee!

Uhh... I've been lurking around some time but I didn't think there was that significant a fall in posting..? The traffic seems pretty much the same to me.
(Or maybe I'm just not as sensitive to this kind of stuff ^^;;) |

Convince my employer that posting to the Cellar does not interfere with my job or put the company at risk............hey, if I have extra time, I must be really efficient, right?
