I'd really like to see Maggie start a discussion thread on this. Very intriguing!

I can't decide if I'm more offended by the attempt to ammend this to the constitution or by the way they bandy around the idea as a political tool.

Imagine the furor if the Pope was to say, "I think it is vitally important that we find a new means to strengthen the idea of marriage. I've decided to create a Bull to allow homosexual marriage to be recognized by the Roman Catholc Church."

Why would there be a furor? By definition, what the Pope says, goes, for the Roman Catholic Church. After all, it would have no relevance for governments (excpet those that are officially Catholic) or other religious bodies.

I knew that she was a member of that org., but seeing it in writing...after reading it, I heard:

*sorry...low blood pressure has me feelin' all high today...*

I talked to Mags today. She has no time for the Cellar for now due to a hectic home life and the sheer volume of postings these days.

Maybe we'll get to see her again at Plastic Forks this year.
