And I think it has to be an inaccurate description as well.

Broadband

I am also the proud new owner of a Broadband Pack.. Still in its box........

Ive done pretty well without it all things considered. If I should perk up with some * DESPERATELY NEEDED SPREADING* ideas I may open said box and begin reading the instructionsssss. I think Im in the throes of Political Forum Burnout. Be gentle.

I shit you not.

So do I. It's really fun to watch as my mailman scratches his head when I get stuff from them and cheaper than dirt on the same day.

I have been considering Gaiam's solar cell phone charger kit ... I have a hand crank one as part of my end of the world supplies, but it's a rather time-consuming process to actually get it to charge the battery to any significant degree. The solar one is a set it and forget it device. Of course, if the end of the world comes by the sun going out, the handcrank one will be the way to go.

Decisions, decisions.

Bruce is right. When the big battle comes, without the solar satellite uplink you probably won't have much service. Better to consider the personal air purifier to help clear away the smoke while firing your various weapons. I'm sure combustion by products of even smokeless powder cannot be good for you.

Also, when folded into thirds (my special number) the organic egyptian cotton towels make nice recoil absorbers for those prolonged shooting days.

Afterwards, you can soak your shoulder in a nice warm mineral soak, while listening to the soothing sounds of tropical rainforest, wind in the pines or waves gently lapping at the shore.

(actually, I was thinking more on the order of whenever I actually make it to a disaster scene ... being able to charge a cell phone is actually a big deal under those circumstances, assuming the cell towers remain intact and in operation. Often, they bring in portables. They did for Shanksville and Quecreek Mine, anyway, since both incidents occured in fairly remote locations with poor cell coverage)

But I really do like the idea of an aromatherapy bath to celebrate the fall of civilization as we know it.

In the UK (where poster is) I don't think truth is a defense to a libel action. Nor does Godwin's Law particularly relate to the percieved tone involved.

Hi maffick, welcome to the Cellar.
Real Goods was one of the names that gathered under the Gaiam banner in order to survive. I got there through Seventh Generation.
I think it's pronounced like it's spelled; Ga - I - am.

Tough thread. Bebop said "nazi" and it's still alive and kicking (rather than waving an arm).
