Some of "Lifes Littles Pleasures" for you?

I put on a new pair of socks the other morning and they felt so....."ahhhhh"...I thought, what a simple little thing that gave me pleasure.

Now sitting here typing and hearing birds singing morning songs, my cats both on the chair next to me purrrrrring.

Soon a pot of coffee will begin to perk and the aroma will be so inviting, that first sip will be savored on the porch as I melt at the view of the magnificent snow covered mountain just beyond my grasp.

The children still slumber, the silence of nature and quiet surroundings befall my mind..... ahhhhhh.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looks like I made one of "Lifes Little BooBoo's" "Littles". Perhaps I should have awaited the passing of coffee over my lips and into my blood stream before I typed this title.
DOH!
Clean sheets.
Reading the funnies on Sunday morning.
Long hot shower with no toilet flushes.
My cat, Merlin, snuggling up in the crook between my neck and shoulder, langorously seeking attention, and purring in my ear as a reward.
A deep, rolling synth bass note with lots of edgy buzzing from a just-right filter resonance.
The unexpected smell of flowers wafting to me on a spring morning.
Making the perfect railgun shot on an airborne opponent in Quake Arena and watching him explode in a fine mist of pixelicious gore.
Waking up in the morning and realizing that it's my day off, and someone's already made the coffee.
The smell of antique shops with wooden floors.
The feeling you get when you pull up to your campsite and know that you will be bowhunting for the next 3 days.
Playing some guitar riff you never get right, and it lands perfectly without any conscious thought.
The downhill ride after the hard cycle up
A book you don't want to put down
A cool glorious morning sunrise with the sounds of the birds as they start their day, and that damp fresh scent of the countryside
My son offering to buy me a pint (no, hang on, that's never happened)
I d/l'ed this from Sourceforge or some such place awhile back, and was too damn stupid to figure out how to set it up.
Smell of a backyard BBQ on a warm sunny day &/or fresh cut grass.
The look on Mr. chainsaw's face after "morning love"... or any kind of "love" for that matter.
Laughing and screaming my guts out on The Tower of Terror (best ride at Disney's California Adventure).
sunrise and you walk the dog(s) when you are the only souls out and about.
fresh cotton bedsheets.
that "special" time of late afternoon sunshine. not yet dusk nor twilight. ya know the time i'm talking about.
a day of sun and swimming, after you get out of the shower, moisturized and you feel your skin kissed by the rays.
looking back up the snow covered mountain ive just flew down on a thin board strapped to my feet.
seeing scorpio for the first time since summer ended
seeing orion for the first time since winter ended
having a girl nearly kick my head away from between her legs because it became all to much.
still standing after finishing the whole bottle of vodka.
Walking in the front door of your house after travelling for weeks.
Pulling up one of your crab pots and seeing that nobody robbed the crab out of it.
Seeing your fishing pole pop off the downrigger and hearing your line zinging out.
Squeezing the trigger on the first deer of the season. (sorry PETA people)
Walking out into the yard and seeing the first flower of the year..... or seeing my first rose bloom of the year.
The afterglow from hosting a dinner party that went off without a hitch.
Hmmm..... there's lots more.
