that's a bunch of shit.

Back then, people played the same songs they heard their heroes playing, or their parents or grandparents.... no one OWNED songs... Robert Johnson didn't WRITE 'I'm Confused' he just put it on vinyl first. to sue a band that radically changed that song and made it into a popular, record selling version is the work of the devil.

I was thinking about how many unique songs could be composed without repeating any chord progressions, assuming let's say a 3:30 song with 4 verses. Probably something like infinity to the eighth power.
