That, sir, is a beautiful word; One I rarely see, or get to use.

Thank you, for the welcome, and for the rare word sighting!

I thought UG was the house curmudgeon. If it's Merc, then what is UG?

(Apart from "conservative old geezer who still uses words like "knapsack"? )

Greetings........

........from Henry, of the 34" inseam, who rarely drinks soda but opts for Pepsi over Coke when he does, and who likes mustard and ketchup equally, using either daily depending on the foodstuff in need of condimentation: wherein tapioca demands mustard, peach cobbler calls for ketchup, and lentil soup deserves a healthy dollop of both.

As for any full frontal nudie pic of myself, I would not impose the image of a man with the above diet upon the collective retinae of the members of your fine community, an act of kindness that just might win my nomination for next year's Nobel Peace Prize.

Hello!

Thanks for the kind welcome. And especial thanks for the French pronunciation - makes me feel more cosmopolitan. Maybe someone else can employ the Cockney pronunciation: 'Enry, as in 'Ello, 'Enry!

Or, they could be combined... a Cockney using the French: 'Ello, 'On-ree!

Only my second post and already my horizons are expanding. This place has POWER.

Heya Henry. I have to admit, your user name gave me a momentary flashback to a different Henry... :shudder:

But you seem all right, aside from the condiment fetish. Welcome!

"a different Henry... :shudder:"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

For the record: the king of the oreos and me, not the same person.

You can all relax...treat him nice (till he gives you *reason otherwise)...my 'sins' are not his.

#

*This, of course, shouldn't be difficult. With the 'intelligent' conversationalists 'here', all that other Henry need do is post something some cellarite finds distasteful, or post something in a 'way' some cellarite finds distasteful, and the 'gang' will rally.

More accurately: all the other Henry need do is be unrepentant for his distastefulness and the 'gang' will rally. Domestication of the herd.

I suggest, Henry, you avoid any conversations about animal self-awareness (too many animal-lovers here willing to blur the line between 'I' and non-'I'), human exceptionalism ("we're all too nasty and worthless to live, don't you know"), and the reality of the individual as 'I' (too many 'self' deniers here).

Also to be avoided: starting threads without a clear, guiding, opening (too many followers here who just can't self-initiate).

But: if you can laugh at unfunny jokes, take as meaningful whatever drivel some cellarite posts, and allows yourself to melt into the cellar gumbo, well hell, you ought to do just fine.

Lastly, anticipating possible responses from any and all who take offense (pussies, beastmasters, queens, those who unsuccessfully try to think before posting, and the like): get bent...HA!
