I originally decided to jump in and join the cellar to give you guys thanks, but I felt it was sort of attention whorish to make a whole thread dedicated to it so this thread is perfect!

As I stated in my other post (which I am sure not all of you read) I have been lurking here for quite some time, in the past I've popped in and out of the cellar reading all of your interesting and often amusing posts usually when I was bored or upset. In November I ended a four year relationship with a very yucky person. This wouldn't have been a problem except that I was very not used to being alone and needed the comfort of people around me, discussing things that didn't have anything to do with my previous relationship or any possible future ones. I was on the cellar every day floating amongst your posts and reading the stories of your lives. Although you don't know me, I want to thank you all for really helping me through a couple of rough times by just getting my mind off of things for a bit. I have a habit of reading through forums without looking at the names of those who post but the ones that I always remember when I come back to the cellar are these:
Undertoad (obvious reasons), lumberjim, Spexxvet, Onyx, wolf, Happy Monkey, sycamore and ladysycamore, marichiko, jaguar, Briana, DucksNuts, Bruce, Sawnee123, Elpsode, and DanaC...so thanks to you guys particularly for brightening my day...and my apologies for any misspellings.

An extra special thanks to wolf for being such a strong woman, I look up to you a lot.

Man...I hope none of you guys are creeped out by this...

Mayhaps I should edit him out then, so he won't feel bad?

it's just an ongoing thing, razz.

It's like they found out that i was afraid of mice or something, and they like to tease me about it.

I'm not afraid of mice, btw.

reminds me of a joke:

Man is riding the bus. There is an old lady with an umbrella sitting across the aisle. Every now and then, the bus driver looks in his big rearview mirror, puts his hand around his throat, and makes gurgly noises. Each time, the little old lady gets out of her seat, hits the driver over the head with the umbrella, and goes to sit back down. This goes on for a few stops. The lady finally disembarks. The man can't stand his curiosity, so he moves up front and says to the driver "what in the world was going on with you and that old lady?" The driver replies "Oh, her daughter got strangled to death last week and I like to tease her about it."

I think we should give the mods a big round of applause for not gettin in everyone's face.

I occasionally frequent a couple of other forums, mainly political or gaming in nature. One in particular seems to have very trigger happy mods and a rather disturbing Yellow Card/Red Card system. When I say trigger happy, I mean mods posting in a thread to warn people that it's drifted off topic, or locking it because people were getting personal.

So, big round of applause for the mods for being mainly unnoticed.

For some reason, I now have the image of an erect penis doing the job of the gnomon on a sundial...
