Question Where's the Story?

<img src="http://www.jivie.com/pic/orielly.jpg" width="85" height="85" border="0" align="right">Since when has the tragedy in NY become a "story". Yes, this is news. Yes, the public needs and wants to be informed. But, just listen closely to all the journalists and how they define the situation. Bill O'riely, when interviewing Newt Gingrich, asked "How do you think this story will unfold". Journalists on CNN literally smirk as more devastating news comes in. And <a href="http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:dEtq3CtKO44:us.news2.yimg.com/f/42/31/7m/dailynews.yahoo.com/htx/nm/20010913/en/television-cable_1.html+20010913/en/television-cable_1.html&hl=en&lr=lang_en" class="link" target="_blank">News stations battle</a> over who has the better ratings.

It doesn't stop there either. Journalists are so self involved, they never fail to point out amateur video or still photos that they use, as not to ruin their professional reputation I suppose. Then AP, Reuters, CNN, MSNBC and the likes will license the content and brand it with their logos before releasing it to other would be scumbag journalists. Go figure!

They plaster their logos, ticker tapes, and footers such as "Terrorism Hits America" to the point that I sometimes DO feel like I'm watching a movie. But, even then I can't see half the shit going on because they have the yurning sensation to use an Arial Font 26 to proclaim just how "LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!" the news really is.

You journalists disgust me!

Like the old saying goes, and can't be applied any better than now, "Give me the news, not the weather!"
