9/9/2005: Turtle on casters

xoB writes that a friend of his took this picture of a turtle on a skateboard. Clearly a custom job, and you know these guys live to a century old so perhaps this guy needs the assist. In my old age I hope somebody sees fit to build a set of casters for me, hopefully with Segway-type gyroscopic balancing.

The wheels look like they'd be better on a hard surface then on soft ground. Perhaps he needs an off road model!

See how those wheels are in the exact middle of the tortoise? It's a dead giveaway- this came straight from Central Casting.

He lives in the Philly Zoo. He broke a leg several years ago and they can't get it to heal so they put him on wheels and he lives happily ever after.

That is so cool to see some one really cares about that turtle. They could have just said "Too hard basket" and made Turtle soup out of him
