Sorry about sniffling like a coke addict. I seem to have worse allergies in the Winter than any other time of year, and those are worst during the morning, which is when I shot that damn thing. I also note that I was kinda ripping through the narration, so I probably sounded like a meth head to top it all off. I'm not.

Cool place, Elspode! I love that you have separate areas for ritual space -- hopefully someday I'll have a house with that kind of room. (I also envy the amount of counter space in your kitchen.)

Spode, I downloaded it last night, and only had a chance to watch the first couple minutes. But from what I've seen so far, I like your place. That Big Bertha stove, melting the floor tiles must be a pretty impressive event to witness. I also like your herb collection. You could open a store!

Thanks, but I wonder if you really have any idea of the impact some of what you write has on other people. I don't know what you do for a living, but damn well better include writing. If not, you surely have missed you calling and the world is worse off for it.
(less they read your tidbits here on the cellar)

Well, shit. Now, *that's* the nicest thing anyone has said to me.

I've mentioned before that I have written professionally exactly twice in my life, both times in very limited formats and for limited audiences. I did very well as an editor/arts reviewer/editorialist for the UMKC (University of Missouri-Kansas City) UNews. My work was well received by readers, and most importantly to me at the time, lauded by the professorial sponsor of the newspaper. He repeatedly cited my work as the best of all the staff, and when he was critical, it was unerringly constructive and totally valid. Odd...I never met the man, but I will carry his praise and critiques with me to the grave. He was absolutely dead on.

My only other "publish for pay" instance was a sidebar thing that I wrote for the KC edition of The Pitch. It was a horrid experience. I was writing about a fairly serious event that was in the "elaboration on upcoming events" section, a weekend seminar given by a highly qualified and well known Reiki master from Australia. I wrote and rerwrote this trifling piece five times (and we're talking a five paragraph article, here), only to have it repeatedly rejected by the twenty-something section editor, who wanted it to be "edgier, more flippant, trendier..."

My biggest limitation in writing is that I really only do well when describing reality. I rarely succeed in fabricating quality work out of nothing. Even the few songs I've written over the years are always based on reality.

But I do very much appreciate the support I always get from my Cellar family. In truth, it is this sort of positive strokes that matter to me. The rest is bullshit.

Hey Ep! Your clip finally downloaded.

Thanks for taking the time to make the tour video.

It looks like a pretty big house with a big lot. Perfect for the dogs and summer parties.

Just coincidence that your cat started scratching on que?

I like your house and appreciate being able to walk through it with you.

I enjoyed sharing it. Wish my cam was a little more capable, but I think the gist of things came through, jerky movement and all.

Cat did in fact just do her thing because she wanted to at that moment. Do cats ever do otherwise? :-)

Kitsune and I are supposed to close on our first home Thursday or Friday of this week and will be moving in over the weekend! Is it sad that one of the things I am most looking forward to is doing a new video tour?
